"Crucial Files Missing: after installing Pro distance

Hi Guys.

I have only just recently returned to Links after a lengthy absence and have succsessfully reinstalled the game, except for the Pro distance patch.
After running the programme and clicking on the game icon I receive an error message "Crucial files are missing, please reintall Links 2003"
I am on Windows 10 and have done everything else correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install from CD? Or where did you otherwise get the install file from? Did you try reinstall like it said?

I installed the game from the original disc and yes, I did try to reinstall the game but i still get the same message after trying to run the pro distance patch,

Do a search on "Pro Distance Mod." I think there's more to it. And it can't be used in on-line play.
