And on the Pacific Coast everybody is so mellow...except when the Canucks lose a Cup Final! 
Shaughnessy is at the west end of the city (Vancouver is more north-south oriented) and is just down the street from UBC. Burnaby is just east of downtown and is home to Vancouver's other university (Simon Fraser).
Remember we "mild-mannered" and "nice" people invented hockey and indoor lacrosse (or as we call it "box" lacrosse in the summer).
And By Gawd one day we'll have full-contact curling...2 minute penalty for "high-brooming".
