Fictional are better in Links 2003.
Let me have it...

I'm the opposite end, with only 5 fictionals in my top 30-40, but probably a few more will join once I've played more of them. I think theres a lot of in-general pros and cons for both real and fictional as categories.

)And I think if anyone one of them was to create a course for Links 2003 rather than real people playing real golf, their real course and Links course would be two totally different designs?Adelade wrote: ↑April 21st, 2021, 12:31 pmI'd say the main difference is that real courses are designed by people who usually have actual education in the field, often with years and years of professional experience as well, so its only natural for them to have an edge in that regard over us mostly-hobby APCD designers.
I lose the immersion when I score lower than the world's best pros.Adelade wrote: ↑April 21st, 2021, 12:31 pmI enjoy the illusion / immersion of playing a course that could exist in real life, and often theres a design choice that makes me go "Really? Theres no way a real course would be like that", and even if I try to ignore that sentiment, it still tends to put a stain on my enjoyment.
