My apologies...

Post by FOOOOORE! »

...To all those who have uploaded courses, I always download them, but since 2021 I am unable to play Links as I am used to doing. So I DL them anyway, and they are are stored here somewhere. I do appreciate the effort that goes into creating these courses, and hope I can some day (unlikely) get back to playing the way I used to. For the time being I am restricted to games like Cue Club 2 (which I highly recommend) which don't require precise physical timing. Thanks to all who work with APCD, it sure doesn't sound easy!

Sage,

After playing True Blue, you will have to go back to Tot Hill and Tobacco Road and up grade them with what ever you did to True Blue.
This course is fantastic!!!!!!

I love it!!!!

The course is terrific, but it sure crashes a lot! Standing on the (golfer's) right side of the green, looking back up the fairway, and c*r*a*s*h* - too many times to mention. and at several other places around the course, too. Somebody needs to take a look at it. (Sorry - I don't like to complain about a course, but somebody like maybe Adelade needs to take a look at this one. It shows a lot of promise!)

I've played the betas and the final on a couple of machines, Windows 11/Intel GPU/dgVoodoo, Linux/Intel GPU/Wine and Linux/Nvidia/Wine and have not had any crash problems.

I have started a list of those I do have problems with and the platform.

The most common I am seeing is on Windows/Intel GPU/dgVoodoo and the symptom is that from Full screen mode, I get a bordered black Window. Event view is unhelpful in that all it says is that “LinksMMIII.exe stopped interacting with Windows”.

Would this be the sort of crash you are seeing?

I am wondering if a different swing type may enable you to continue to play Links.

RTS specifically does not require precise timing, rather it is accurate arm or wrist movement.

The pros tinker and change their swings, why not Linksters.
