Basically it allows you to create multiple versions of a single 3D object.
If you needed say 10 of the same 3D object, this features allows you to only have to make 1 instead of 10.

Clarification: Custom 3D built from terrain, not the planted type.
Finished Courses - Main: Amedal (fictional), Nine Bridges (real)

Working on: 2 fictional courses + a couple things...

Don”t get me going………

I remember spending a number of hours working with AJ trying to import objects I made in 3D Max into the APCD, like he did with the bleachers on Augusta. I could never get that to work right, if I would have been able to do that back then it would have been a major game changer. So much frustration, everything would have gone straight into the planting sets.

Gentlemen,
After my earlier troubles with the clone tool, I thought I would try it again.
I completed the procedure from master to S1 and s2 and merged. The additional object was created.
Now, how do I create more objects from the object I created in s1 and s2, or must I recreate the object again and start again with Master, s1 , s2 etc?
Thank you,
Ian

Ian

You can move the object you created, saving as a different slave file each time and merge more than 2 slave files. There may be a limit, I can't remember sorry.

I have merged up tp nine file a a time but that depends on how complex they are.

Ian,

Since you have done your merge, you have created a new master file.

You can do one of two things:

1. Since the new file is a master you will not be able to move the object and save it, it will not work. On the new master you could re-create the object again and keep saving as many new files as you feel comfortable with, then you can go through the same process over again until you get the results you want.

2. You could also go back to the second saved file and continue the process as if you had not done the merge. You just need to remember once you have done the merge and created the new master, you would need to start the process all over again.

Either way would be up to how you feel comfortable about using the mod. Any questions, I'll be around

Yeah Glenn, I seem to recall doing a similar numder back on Ava's Field. That was a simple bench seat though. Saved some time though for a simpleton such as myself...
