 Welcome back guys. Hope you all enjoyed a little time off before the next stretch of tournaments (6) :cheers1:

FYI - I'm not planing any different tee boxes or anything to compensate for us playing on a shorter course.

I can't wait to see how this course looks after being off our radar for 10 years. Although it will be longer for the pros, the best news I saw about it was no-cut LOL.

Can't wait to tee it up again!

I did have a round on Doral a couple of days ago on my notebook, I apparently set breezy not gusty, but did set SC/FC.

With RTS it played pretty well at those settings, mind you I had a day when my iron approach shots (even a wood) mostly ended up within 2 metres of the pin. Putting did seem OK on a couple of longer putts I had.

I did try to be a little too ambitious and ended up getting wet twice, somehow still shot a 65, no doubt due to those approach shots and a holed pitch shot, my work on the pitch shot paid off for once.

As usual, I expect that to be my best round!

Given with Links we are playing with a wound back ball and older equipment, the shorter length is probably not unreasonable.

:clapping: FYI - In looking up info on pin placements, I ran across these charts. :scared:

I'm really hope they use the updated format I've been using lol.

:bookh: I did have to use charts like these for last years Open. Figure the Brits to throw a curve ball at me :cheers1:

That's where I get my Pin sheets and other info on the tournaments  https://pgatourmedia.pgatourhq.com/schedule .....
Wait, I have a challenge....

After further review, I found out when the format changed, roughly :clapping:

:bookh: It changed between the 2017 and 2018 season. I think that's when ShotLink joined the PGA platform. The PGA has been bouncing around, trying to find it's way around American football. Nobody is really watching golf till after the Superbowl.

2012-2013 Start of PGA season was January
2014-2019 Start of PGA season was October
2020-2023 Start of PGA season was September
2024-Current Start of PGA season is January

(Hole placements only go back to 2012) :cheers1:

This is what I'm referring to. The pgatour.com website provides live shot tracing for each golfer in a tournament. The problem is that you have to wait for the round to start before seeing where the pins are by hole.
