Links PGA Tour 2026 - The Masters

Welcome to the "Links PGA Tour" where we simulate the conditions of the PGA Tour. **We select the green speed and Pin positions with the courses we have in the data base, to give you the feel of playing along side the Pro's. ** All holes are played from the back tees.

Ian,

With especially these sorts of settings in Links, it is a very fine line between a brilliant shot and total disaster, I was erring on the total disaster side this round and it cost me dearly. With RTS it could be as little as 1 -2 mm of movement difference on the meter.

I have been playing along really just to improve at the game, I have been pulling out the occasional great round, so seem to be improving, but it does not take much to blow out a hole or two, especially on a course like Augusta, there are not too many holes you can recover on.

I do not know how they shoot the low scores either.

On the other hand I do not know how you guys can use the APCD. I have lots of experience with different software programs, I have used mainframes, mini computers and PCs, but the APCD leaves me head scratching. I also doubt I have the artistic and design flair that I think the APCD probably needs.

If the correct conditions are used, this person doesn't shoot low scores either. 73 is my official 2nd round score.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda; missed a bunny on 14 for birdie, and made the unforgivable rookie mistake of not checking the swing meter after hitting the 15th green in two. The first putt went right into the drink.

The only good thing about this video is that there were no interruptions (karma?)

I birdied the first :clapping:
Ended with a +15 for a very embarrassing round I just couldn't keep the ball on the green :wallbash:
Playing that round made working with APCD seem like a walk in the park, it was so frustrating

I will leave the final two rounds to the Links professionals :tiphat:

Ian
Well Ian, you could of made your debut at an easier course but I thank you for braving the conditions and putting it out there. :clapping:
With that said, you were not the worst score out there :bookh:
Aldrich Potgieter +15 84 75
Brandon Holtz +15 81 78
Angel Cabrera +16 79 81
Davis Riley +18 82 80

I look forward to seeing you next week at Harbor Town. That course is more forgiving. Feel free to poke around with the third and fourth round conditions. You can only get better with time. Good luck :cheers1:

Des, your the only RTS out here. It's not fair to compair your scores to a clicker. :wallbash: Your in a class by yourself so I'd say your in first place till another RTS comes by. Thank you for swinging with us. I do enjoy the company and viewpoint :cheers1:

SCG,

I'm setting fairly modest goals, with using the challenging settings I am aiming for more consistency and getting rid of the really bad shots. My goal is to shoot par or just under consistently. If I can do that I think the occasionally blinding round will happen, like it did during the practice round.

If I use the original Links setting it is not hard to shoot a good score, I'd expect a lot of rounds around 60 with those settings.

***SCG - A much harder course setup today. Never really felt comfortable out there. The whole round felt like you were walking on rice paper like Shaolin priest. I was never able to snatch that pebble from his hand. A couple of birdies on the second and third holes, but the dbl. bogie on 7 and a bogie at the turn had me at even. Should of listened to my caddy more. Managed a birdie on 10 and on the 15th (very nice 20ft putt again) and a bucket of saves on the back, had me in the clubhouse with a 70 (-2/-10).
