I'm on the fence about giving this game a go and purchasing it for PC (I don't do consoles).

On the plus side: The graphics look pretty good.

Also, the course creator looks as if it is something I might actually be able to use fairly easily, and I'd really like to start designing my own courses.

On the minus side: The big one first ... I'm a diehard clicker (yes I've tried the other swing modes, don't like them) and apparently this game doesn't offer that option.

I've heard that the game is more oriented towards console controllers (yes I know you can use console type controllers for the PC).

Also, the ball physics still don't appear to be as good as even this 17 year old Links 2K3 game that we're playing now.

Something about PGA Tour 2K21 just gives off that arcade-ish vibe to me.

You can't buy a physical product of this game for PC. I kinda like holding something that I bought with my own money in my own hands. Old fashioned? Yeah, I guess so, but that's how I roll.

I'm sure there are a few other pros and cons about this game which I've come across that I can't think of at the moment and others that would/will pop up after actually playing the game. Like I said, at the moment I'm still in decision mode as to whether plunk down the $60 for for this. I might just wait and see until the game has been released and there's a bit more feedback.

Isn't Steam the same people that brought us Perfect Golf?

Not a fan of Perfect Golf or the Steam interface to it - that's all.

Me either. That was my point, although not stated very well.

Steam didnt have much to do with Perfect Golf though, they just form a platform for games to be published through. Not liking the Steam interface is of course a legit concern but blaming Steam for things about the game itself is sort of like... hm... blaming Links Corner for a hosted user-created course being bad.

As for the actual topic at hand, these quotes by John B earlier tell exactly my main feelings about it at this point in time

But we'll see what people say once it comes out.

There's also the fact that they're still some thousands of courses behind the amount in the Links library, which matters quite a lot to me.
