Hello all!
In short, I want to create a short season (12 weeks), and will play first in Semi-Pro tournaments. All tournaments will be 4 rounds.
I played many courses in LS 2003, and at least 20-30% of them are not done up to standards. Of course, they are free, so I'm not in a position to complain. All courses have their pros and cons (both visually and in play style).
I'm searching for a list of best 10 to 15 courses so I can create a perfect Semi-Pro season, and each of 10 tournaments to be played at the, hopefully mix of:
- most beautifully done (nice crisp textures)
- most visually pleasant (to look realistic)
- without errors in texturing (bad textures, overlaps, gaps between textures, etc)
- the most rewarding to play
- the mix of hard and easier courses
Thank you all in advance!
Best 10 courses for LS 2003?

Please list examples of the ones that are not up to your standards:
1.
2.
3.
- most beautifully done (nice crisp textures)
Crisp? Seam-blended, maybe, right?
- without errors in texturing (bad textures, overlaps, gaps between textures, etc)
Please list your qualifications for making such judgements.
- the most rewarding to play
Most rewarding for rookies? For experts? Pre-1.07 conditions or post 1.07?
- the mix of hard and easier courses
More importantly, what skill level are you (Amateur, Pro, Champ, Elite),
and what playing style? (Click, RTS, PP)

If you could provide examples of those 20-30%, it might give us an understanding of what you don't want.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Re: Best 10 courses for LS 2003?
Sorry guys for writing that kind of post, I was in a hurry.
So, in short, I'm trying to find the most beautifully done courses, quality similar to default LS 2003 courses, with nicely blended surfaces, nice tree textures, natural colors, etc. I will certainly test majority of courses in a quick manner (will play couple of holes from each course), trying to separate quality of courses.
In the same time, I want from a season to be a mix of challenging and less challenging courses, like in real life.
I'm playing 3-click, Pro difficulty. Fast and Firm greens for Semi-Pro season, will switch to Fast/Firm Challenging for PGA TOUR season, if I qualify.
I'm not a very good player, I usually score between E and +6 per round, depending on my mood, patience and course difficulty. I ranked Semi-Pro opponent field to score in overall from 68-69 to 90. Will certainly edit the field, as 90 as way to high for simulated Korn Ferry Tour.

Re: Best 10 courses for LS 2003?
Look for courses by Mike Jones (#1 designer), Robert Miller, Glenn Braden, Andrew Jones, Stewart Parker, Andrew Jones and Linkster.
Top courses: Augusta National 2024, most of Mike Jones' courses, Pine Valley, Whistling Straits, Pinehurst #2 Restoration, Winged Foot West, Atlanta Athletic Club - Highlands Course, Kapalua Plantation 2009, St Andrews The Old Course HD, Royal Troon Championship HD, Bay Hill 2016 - Tournament Course, Crooked Creek HD, Harbour Town Golf Links HD.
I have over 4,000 recorded rounds. In a day or so, I'll post a link to a few of them playing at the above courses so you can have someone to play against.

Two Sage Vanni courses I think you would love to try. Both North Carolina courses. Tobacco Road and Tot Hill Farms.
Re: Best 10 courses for LS 2003?
Ian Wells is another accomplished designer, mostly real courses.
This thread could get lengthy due to the subjectivity of preferred designers/courses.
Pete, 4,000 recorded rounds? Wow!
