Out a little later today.
It was a fruit salad day i.e. a bit of everything, ended up in a lake, ended up in a couple of bunkers, even had Links crash on me (but recoverable).
Whereas yesterday a ball would drop today is shaved past the hole. Where a ball would roll on to the green today it stopped short, catch the edge of the green yesterday today would miss it, so luck was not with me, not surprised I used up a lot yesterday.
So it was more work today, but it was not an embarrassment.
Finished with a 65, there were two bogies and 7 birdies in the round, missed a couple of makable putts, and short changed myself on a couple of shots.
From my play yesterday though I was able to reproduce a couple of shot the saved me, so it was really a mixed bag of a day, the water obviously cost me and if I had of been catch greens rather than just missing them (but not in a position to putt) the score could have been better, still I would not pass on the 65.

Doug,
In the clubhouse at -31 is good going it is going to take a good final round to get past you.
Sounds like you had a rough day Ian, awfully like the real thing. Seems Links ball physics is not the only thing that is close to the mark.

Thank you, Des. As you're aware, I'm sure, anything can happen, but I'm happy with the result.
Ian, one hole does not detract from how well you played.

Doug,
Golf is a fickle game and Links follows that rather closely, one day you can do no wrong, the next day you cannot seem to do anything right.

Des, Doug,
One bad hole, one bad round, one bad tournament is no problem - it is immediately forgotten.
One bad hole = one extra beer, one bad round = ...... ?

(I can't remember what a bad tournament equals.)
I'm looking forward to visiting Silvis, IL. and carding a 56
See everyone on Thursday.
Ian

My internet connection is down right now. So I won't be able to play the final round until after I get off work today about 10:30 p.m. EST. Incredible round today by Doug, we'll see how that holds out.

Clutch performance Thomas! That putt on 18 is the type that I seem to struggle with. And that save on 17...wow!
Time to wait and see what happens.
