I can only echo Sage, the rock formations in the screen shots are amazing, so natural and life like.

Pelican Hill is challenging for me, without the rock faces, now ....

I think you are capturing NSW well, it is known for its spectacular location, there are 3 or 4 course along that part of the coast with 3 adjoining each other, NSW is the pick. It is rarely seen in tournament play because of the logistics of using the course.

Sure you do not want to do any more Australian courses? You certainly do them justice.

I think those screenshots are using the new wrapper it is showing the course and the game at its best.

Ian - you make this convict laugh. Alot of trial and error with the rockface but it all comes down to the textures themselves and a mix of mappings (and forgetting about file size!) It seemed to really pop once I installed the new wrapper though. Have you and Sage tried it yet?

Des, NSW was used for the 2009 Australian Open (Adam Scott won) but not since then. That's a long time for a course consistently ranked as top 5 in the country. Not a result of Victorian sandbelt snobbery is it? I am not sure I have more than 1 more course left in me mate. Regardless, I feel like I need a change of scenery. I have the Kings Island DEM but the Linkster set me a task of taking on an ocean-side links course in Scotland. Will keep that one on the downlow until its done, but it's a stunning and beautiful course. Seems like a step up in challenge level as well as my first Euro effort. So very exciting.

But, first things first.......NSW..............What does everyone think about crowds? Because, I don't think I want them on NSW. That will be controversial right?

Yes I recall NSW being used for one tournament, I also recall the talk of all the problems with the logistics of patrons given the location and the layout of the course, sounded like it was all too hard.

Of course in Sydney in the past they have used The Australian, The Lakes, Concord even Castle Hill and of course Royal Sydney. No shortage of quality courses and quite a variety of courses. The sandbelt certainly gets plenty of attention, I suspect plenty of Govt money going into where tournaments are staged, Adelaide will be getting a bit of attention this month.

King Island of course has two quality courses, it seems Tasmania is making a late run on golf courses.

I do not think NSW really lends itself to crowds.

Colin, I'd opt for no crowds. I feel they take away from a beautiful course.

Same as 5 wood.......I never add crowds.

I'm not a designer so forgive my ignorance, but I have a question. Is there any way to submit a course with no crowds and a tournament version with crowds and how much time is involved in that. I just find crowds add to the experience when playing career. Thanks again to all the designers who take the time creating these amazing beautiful courses. Hats off to you fellas............

Spectators are one of the features of Links. I have attended quite a few PGA tournaments, and I like having them out and about on the course I'm playing - but following the rules. They are not allowed to go where they would put themselves in danger of getting hit with a golf ball. With the APCD, you can place the people anywhere, but (to me) it adds to the game when they are only placed where they would be allowed to go. The size of the crowd can be selected - small, medium and large - and whether or not they will be allowed to populate the seated areas if there is any. Other things are fun for the truly anal, like two couples walking or standing together, and no individual women wandering around by themselves - they're always accompanied by other women or men, and areas where people are sitting, and various sizes of groups on paths between holes. A lot of duplicates are generated, but those can be eliminated. Just like with everything else, the creator of the course can make it appear as realistic as they want.

As Pete stated, the designer can opt for crowds or no crowds. When playing online events, the player can also opt for crowds or not. Personally, I prefer an uncluttered look. No crowds, no tournament objects. That's just my personal preference. When I set up an online event, I generally select a crowd for those who prefer them.
