Final round at the John Deere Classic was another snoozer. Nothing was happening, approach shots were stopping short or going long and putts just did not want to fall in. Two under after the front nine until the blip on 16 where my finger locked and I missed an easy par putt sending the ball 11 feet past the hole for a bogie. Then the disastrous 2nd shot on 17 where I landed in the heavy rough leaving me with an awkward lie but did manage to chip in for a bird. On the 18th a wayward Tee shot in the bunker, then an approach in the water to finish with a 112-yard shot in the hole for a very long par save. Two under for the final round, not what I was hoping for, but we’ll move on.

Well, I left too many out there today, mostly with the putter but the irons, too. 62 was well within my reach with the easier conditions, but the best I could manage was 34-32= 66. Disappointing for sure, but just couldn't get it close from the fairway and left it on the wrong side of the pin too many times too. Good tournament still ... and I'll continue to try to learn the new club distances :dunno:

Got in round 4, enjoyed the breezy conditions better than gusty but still not able to make enough birdies! Made birdie at #2, bogey at #5 missing the green to the right, bogey from the sand at #8 to go out in 36, back nine started good with birdies on 3 of the first 4 holes and should have been all four! 3 putt bogey stopped momentum at #15 and finished with 3 straight pars to come back in in 34 shots for 36-34=70 1 under par for the round and 4 under for the tournament. 12 fairways and 12 greens with 26 putts, just couldn't get the putter hot, had chances could have had 3 or 4 more birdies that I just left short.

Hope to see everyone at Birkdale in two weeks!

Shot 1 under 70. Tied at -27. Sudden death on 18. I'll see you there. Hole 18 works on my PC for John Deere Classic course. :cheers1: If you're too tired, we can do it tomorrow.

No need. After your 60, I only gave you -10 not -11. Re-adding the scores you won by 1 stroke.
:rules:
Of course you did add a stroke for having to "Drop" in a different course? Then we would be tied lol
All ties go on vactaion for two weeks and think about The Open

I didn't shoot 60. I shot 61. So we technically are tied.
