General question
Is it possible to open a "locked" course file in Links Extender?

If there is one thing ................ummmmmmmm.......I can't remember.
Re: General question
The reason I ask is I can not figure out how Peter Gemmill made this shoreline texture or whatever it is. Maybe a path with a certain alpha?
It's got me stumped......
It's a wildly awesome texture or whatever...!!!!! Sage.......

Re: General question
Sage,
I agree absolutely, that that looks wonderful, and I have no idea how it was made.
Please let me know

Re: General question
I've been able to find a way to manipulate locked courses in Extender so that I was able to extract all of their assets - textures, panos, 2D objects, 3D objects, etc. But I have never been able to actually open a locked course. Sorry. Would love to test the MS Course Asset extraction but can't make that work without a code either. Suspect Andrew got some help on the down-low from the former Access Software guys with Extender. But that's all lost now you'd think.
Pete has definitely played around with the wrap settings to get that look. But it's also a combination of that coming together with the right alpha and the textures -incl the mids. Just need to play around with some combos and see what works.
By the way - Pete Gemmill always seemed to be a lovely guy. He's also from the Gold Coast and lives (lived?) only a few minutes away from me. We promised to meet and catchup for a coffee one day, but never did. He did some fine Australian APCD courses including Royal Melbourne. But Robina (a course I now drive past weekly) is his best. Planting masterclass - very inspiring. Is this a graphic from Robina Sage?

Re: General question
Hi Colin,
Thanks for the info.
Since you seem to be able to extract from locked courses........
Can you download Riverside Valley by Peter Gemmill and extract textures and alphas and zip them up and send to me?

Thanks......Sage.....

Re: General question
I imagine he used a path map using a similar technique to my 'Creating a bunker lip without seam blending' video that I posted prior to my other videos, many, many years ago!!
I can't remember how to post videos so I'll just post the link as text: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TZ8wSen_hs
