Even though I missed the cut I played round 3, started slowly birdie at #2, bogey at #4, got on a roll to finish the front 9 with 3 birdies at 6,7 and 8 to go out in only 33. Back 9 started with another bogey after a drive right, finally got a birdie at #13 but 3 putt bogeys at 14 and 18 each from over 50 feet, brought me home in 38, signed for 33-38=71 1 under par. 11 fairways, 12 greens, 29 putts.

My third round started kind of slowly, although I did birdie the 1st after a stunningly good fairway bunker shot (I've had a lot of practice with those.) Went out in 34 but bogeyed the 11th. Then, ACE on 12, eagle on 15 and birdies on 16 and 17 for a 65! Was I surprised? Hell yes!

Sorry, no sound again after thinking I had it solved.

Oh, sorry I didn't change my outfit for round 3. I was out late the night before drowning my sorrows over the 73 (really Thomas) I shot and had an early tee time today.

I'm just not coping with the greens, too many three putts or just missing too many greens, a +6 78. Seen plenty of sand today, but on a positive note no water.

Seems to be a theme here, shots either too short and not running up or hitting the green and rolling off the back, or even hitting the middle of the green and rolling back off. Having to play too many long clubs to reach the green on the second shot does not help.

Against my better judgement I played the third round and after 10 holes I was even par - 1xEagle, 1xbirdie and 3bogies.
Then it really was amen to all that. Double bogey on 11,12,13 and 16 with a bogey on 15, to finish on +9.
Sure to do better on the 4th round  .

:clapping: Hey Dez, Ian, are either of you playing at Champ or Elite level? I know with classic swing, that makes a big difference. Playing Pro level is way more forgiving.

Not I.

As far as I can tell the main differences in RTS between the different levels are whether you get a suggested back swing length and whether you get the putting assistant and if you do its level.

FWIW at challenging settings neither of them give you the correct swing length and/or line they are really more of just a starting point.

***SCG - My putter didn't fail me but I didn't put myself in the best of situations to succeed. I went 2 over on the front nine just getting a feel for the greens. Great save on the par 3, 6th hole after my tee shot landed on the green, then rolled 43 yards off the green (sob). A nice up and in had me muttering. Just a couple of birdies on the back. Another 20ft putt on 15 (par, birdie, birdie, birdie) returned me to level par till I ran out of luck on 17 which earned me a 73 (+1/-9) . All in all a very good week and once again we can park Augusta in the garage for the next 51 weeks till we can dust it off and try this again ;-))
