I have tried Power Stroke as well, I thought it was quite good until I got to the mouse click for the wrist snap. I thought in the real swing the wrist snap is not something you can consciously control, really it is a product of what has already happened in the swing, so that turned me off that swing type. So I was left with RTS as being as close as practicable on a standard PC to the real golf swing.
With instructions provided by pmgolf I have been able to incorporate stock Draw and Fade swings in RTS and make it more complete in terms of shot types.

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - Valspar Championship
I briefly reacquainted myself with both swings just now. PS reminded me that I could only kill worms or send the ball to unknown places. RTS is very cool-looking and realistic, and I think would be something I could learn if I wanted (maybe.) That will, however, remain a mystery.

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - Valspar Championship
RTS is one of the reasons I purchased Links 2003, that was around 2004. I have not played anything else since, but it is only the last couple of years I got it running on Windows 11 and Linux, my old XP box, that had Links on it, rarely got used since it was such a nuisance to use it.
Out of interest I played Copperhead at mc/mc and while I did have to be careful and did hit a few shots too hard I generally found it to be quite good. Given the trouble I got myself into, but I also did play some good shots as well, I thought +1 was a good realistic result, there was some scrambling at times.
When we get older courses some certainly are not overly Mod friendly (challenging settings), I doubt even a mod friendly course would rate at fc/fc in any case. I would expect with most courses we can play something more challenging than stock f/f, some early course course were certainly tricked up to make them harder at stock f/f.

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - Valspar Championship
I have played most of the PGA Tour courses available on Links (older and newer) many times, using pin placements and hole distances shown at pgatour.com over the years. As a "clicker," I play at Champ level and M/FC (except for MC/FC or thereabouts for the Masters or US Open) without the distance mod against an ani. I use either breezy or gusty conditions depending on what I can get from weather reports at tournament time. On an older course such as Colonial, (which I love, btw) I cannot come close to the pro's scores, essentially hoping for even par over four rounds because of the greens (that didn't affect SCG or Matty at Sawgrass however.) Courses like Muirfield, East Lake and PGA National can be difficult to me because of the rough and my snap inconsistency in Champ mode, but I average around even par. I am usually around -2 or -3 per round on the various TPC courses, which seems reasonable, except for Craig Ranch and River Highlands, on which I tend to go low (as do the pros.)
Therefore, my feeling is that most of the rest of the season should be a reasonable test given the various conditions SCG throws our way.
FC/FC? Please not ever!
TMI? Of course! Game on, my brothers
(I swore I wouldn't do this again

Back in the mid-late 2000's, this guy (BillW I think) use to post the pin numbers and green conditions and I enjoyed playing along as I watched the Pro's play. As I started this thing last year, I wasn't looking for high level competitions.

I thank you Doug and all of you that have been a part of this.
Last year I retired and we all have to find something to do with our time. It looks like I found that something that can keep me off the streets and it's something I love to do. Just following my passion.
