And how many times?
Informal Age Poll
Re: Informal Age Poll
I was 6 and living in Clarkson, Ontario which was one of the villages/towns that were all amalgamated into Mississauga. I don't remember it as being a huge deal (but I was 6) and the Leafs had won the Cup 3 times already in the 60's. Don't know if I'll be around for another Cup win but I don't really care much about pro sports anymore with all the ridiculous hype and money. The CFL is the only thing I watch on a regular basis.

I remember listening to foster Hewitt sr. broadcasting from the gondola
on my philco floor model radio back n the 60's. that's when player bobby bawn played &
scored the winning goal with a broken foot.
picked up the broadcast in rhode island. wow!

Punch Imlach wouldn't give me an autograph...for a 10 year old kid that's enough to turn you off the Leafs. We found ourselves at the Royal York when the Wings were in town. Gordie took my mother and me around and introduced us to the team and got autographs...it's things like that...
And the first time I saw the Wings live the Leafs beat them 10-nil.
We should set up a hockey forum-I have lots.
But they really should have named the new arena the Gordie Howe Olympia.
