JC,

Installs without problem and I can generate a golfer. I did manage to crash it, I suspect I had not selected something I needed to or conversely had too much selected.

I have watched all the tutorials, they cover a lot of ground and covered more than I expected, well done. I was thinking the Models covered the basics about the golfer like the build and the videos confirmed that. I saw the change in file extension for the models.

I noted a couple of things about the videos:

1. To be picky there is a typo in one of the names: “AniFactoryInsall.mp4”

2. There is a problem with the "in game" video, the Links sounds are turned on and they drown you out at times, Links is louder than you so I cannot tell what you are saying.

I think the PDF should be updated to include some details about the videos.

Ok some comments and questions about the utility.

- Tool opens with all assets open, think it would be better just to have top two levels open like on the videos if possible.

- In one of the videos and it looked like you had an ani with a wide brimmed hat, that is one thing I am looking for, it looks like this could be a flat hat option or perhaps a bucket hat, but I suspect it is linked to specific golfers, many of the golfers in your list I am not familiar with. It there some way to "preview" the models so people can choose a suitable model as a base?

- Is there a way to get an ani with a long sleeve shirt? The Animasters Russell2008 model seems to do it by selecting a shirt texture for the arm.

- Shirts 0017 - 0036 all look the same to me.

- A lot of the shoe options have the word copy in them, some even more than once.

I found it useful to look at textures outside of the utility, I just used Photo viewer, so could get a good size shot on the screen.Another thing I fund useful to go through the textures quickly was to use Explorer with icons set to extra large.

FWIW I added AniFactory to my desktop and my Links menu folder.

As I do with course testing I'll raise things that I find odd or unusual, up to you of course if you do something with them or reject them.

OK I'll answer one of my own questions.

A bucket hat is a wide brimmed hat, different names between countries. A bucket hat here has that sort of top but little if any brim. Most wide brimmed hats here are more of the Akubra or old time cricket style hat, cricket umpires generally wear them now, some players still wear them.

Similar with "Knickers" they are called Plus 4's here whereas Knickers is underwear ....

The reverse image for left handed golfers is a good tip, I'm left handed.

You are the man. This is great info. My answers/replies to each comment are below.

--I noticed this after I packaged everything up and sent to Andy and wasn't dare going to ask Andy to download it again. I have corrected this and can upload to Andy so he can fix the archive with the corrected name (or Andy can correct it either way).

2. There is a problem with the "in game" video, the Links sounds are turned on and they drown you out at times, Links is louder than you so I cannot tell what you are saying.
--I noticed this too and it's frustrating because I had this turned so far down and could barely hear it on my system. I was blown away with how loud it was when I watched the video back. I'd have to re-shoot the video to fix it so give me some time and I'll do that and send a new video to Andy.

I think the PDF should be updated to include some details about the videos.
--Good idea. I can add that. Obviously the PDF was made before the videos were made, but that's an easy fix.

--I actually don't like this either. Let me see if I can change that with a code tweak. I'm just a deal with it kind of guy on most little annoyances like this, but I agree with you that this is annoying and I'd like to fix it.

--I'd have to link a pic to each model and I believe there are over 250 models so it's possible but a lot of work. Let me see if it's something I can script so I can get it done faster. It's crazy now that I've learned this coding thing I want to code everything. Like execute BigSexy go to bathroom, then take shower, then grab snack.

--Yes. I have lots of anis with options to have or not have sleeves. Look at Justin Rose as an example. I didn't put that in the texture staging section because you could literally have sleeves for every color in the rainbow. It's as simple as just "painting" the arm textures to the color you want the sleeves though. Let me think on this one.

--Yes. These are all just white shirts. I left them in there because the shirts and collars have to be a 1:1 ratio with the exact same name so the app will grab the collar when you add a shirt. You can delete them, but you would have to delete CLR 0017 - 0036 in order to keep those relationships from breaking.

--Yep. That's just me missing some. There's about 8000 textures and I had to rename every one of them and some of the shoes got missed. You can rename those if you want.

Just want to thank you for all your time and effort to Links golf. The Ani Factory is amazing and fun to work with. So many options!

In the few events seen here I have seen golfers wear "golf sleeves" of various colours, they are not part of the shirt. So you do see a lot of mix and match (and some clash).

You probably will not be surprised to hear that I am the sort of person that likes things to be just right and in order, so some file renaming could well happen :)

I have installed AniFactory on Linux and it is working. I was able to create a golfer.

I assume AniFactory is 64 bit?

I have made this assumption and based on it have put it into a different environment than Links itself which I have had to put into a 32 bit environment due to dependencies on the platform.

The registry change has to be done manually on Linux, no big deal, as for Links itself you have to do the registry changes for the 1.07 update.

Sorry I'm just getting back with you. Been busy the last couple days. I have corrected the video file name typo and added the videos to the PDF per Des' suggestion. I also corrected the state of the models and textures when you launch the app to be closed instead of open. I looked into linking a model .PNG file to each .SKL model in the app, but I would have go manually take 250 screen captures to have a pic for each model. Until I get enough users requesting that, I probably won't dedicate the time to do that. A solution is to download that ani and fire up Links to see what it looks like before creating your ani in the app. I do think it's a good idea, but it's a lot of work so for now I'll hold off on doing it.

You're welcome. I'm hoping the app leads to some cool new anis and allows people to get creative using the tools and textures I've provided.

No problem, perhaps the model PNG is one for the future, the suggestion is at least out there.

Long sleeves is the suggestion I am probably most interested in, I see that one as adding more looks and variety to the Anis I did try a Justin Rose Ani, but ended up with short sleeves, he would need a few more pounds to match my build in any case.

Glad to hear the model and textures options will be closed, I think that is best.
