I wanted to get the word out on another app I'm working on for Links2003. If you've ever seen my http://www.jclinks2003.com]website you know I have over 100 spreadsheets that I used for my 45 (now 46) years of replaying the PGA seasons from 1980-present. Well, I can throw away the spreadsheets because it's all now in my new app called Links 2003 Replay Manager. I designed the app so that I could more easily run my replays with way less data entry, but in doing so built a fully customizable replay manager that I'm going to make available to the community for free.
As you may know, I don't actually play during my replay as I just have the AI players play the seasons. I merely keep the data and see how it plays out. BUT, if you are one that enjoys the career mode in Links and it never really fulfilled all your needs this app just might do it. You can pick how many players are in your league up to the full PGA field for any year from 1920 - 2025. You can customize your schedules, how points are assigned for tournaments, how money is distributed and then you just need to enter the scores into the app and it does the rest. It will have a record book for season achievements and a career leaderboard and a HOF criteria to see who is on the HOF path. It will even track your player of the year award and update it live after each event.
Whether you participate in the replay against AI opponents or just let the AI opponents battle each other there will now be an app to track it all. I have a full working version for my replay already. I'm testing it with my current 2025 season, but I'm also building an addon to allow the user to completely customize the league they play so they aren't forced into my proprietary format (although that is an option). If you are more of a TGL team play guy (think Ryder Cup, but for an entire season) or LIV guy that prefers the stroke play-team play combo, you will be able to setup your league however you'd like.
I also think this might be perfect for the LPSN.net folks who run tournaments (yep, that's you Pete) as it might be easier for the commissioners of those leagues to manage them now. Anyway, be on the lookout for it. I don't have an exact time table yet, but it's coming!!!!
Coming Soon!!! Links 2003 Replay Manager
