I promised you guys I would create a utility that I would make available to the Links Corner folks just for being the coolest bunch of dudes on the internet and I'm here to tell you that I'm keeping that promise. I have in the works (and it's working beautifully) a utility I'm calling the AniFactory. This cool little tool will allow the user to select a (up to 30 of each) FACE(S), EYES, PANTS, SHIRTS (with COLLARS) and SHOES along with one of over 200 different Maya body types (all S01 models). You then name your new ani and press BUILD ANIMATION and out of the AniFactory comes your brand new beautiful ready to play Links2003 ani!!!!

Here is the cool thing, I'm including almost 10,000 textures with the app so you won't have to create any of your own textures. You simply choose from the ones I've made available and build your ani. Now, if you are an overachiever, there will be texture folders that you can add your own creations to so you can add them to your ani, but that isn't required.

What's really cool about this is that while I believe I'm one of the last 3 or 4 people on the planet to have the utilities required to build anis from scratch (thank you original animasters), and I don't think the animasters would care if I shared those at this point, by building the utilities into my python code I am able to share the utilities abilities without sharing the utilities and how to use them. They have a horribly difficult learning curve and require Maya so they would be useless to 99.9% of the world by themselves.

I'm really hoping to have this finished in the next several weeks. I usually just share all my stuff on a cloud so I don't burden Andy with it, but I'll probably burden Andy with this one and upload it so he can post it on the site. So, how much will the utility cost you ask? Absolutely nothing. This community has been more than gracious over the last several years reading my babbling about my replay and animations so this is my gift to you.

I do plan to support the AniFactory for the immediate future with updates from your feedback, but at some point I will have to mark it as final as I don't want it to be a lifelong project. I'm honestly hoping this is the first of a suite of apps I'm trying to throw together for the Links Corner folks.

I do have one favor to ask. When my golf simulation app comes out (I'm hoping for early to mid-October), just go to the store page and give it a look. I'm not asking for an obligation to buy it. Just check it out and give me feedback.
