Royal Portrush?
Is any designer doing anything with Royal Portrush? I might consider doing a few quick and simplistic improvements to John Brooks version from 2019. I dont want anyone to get their hopes up for anything too nice though, it will be rough around the edges and nowhere near as accurate in elevations as ...

Shadow Creek by Dan DeShaney - Beta ready
Shadow Creek - the version started many years ago by Dan DeShaney - is now fully finished and ready for Beta testing. All that is left to do is adding splash screens for the final and potentially tweaking any issues that might surface during this Beta test. If you want to test it out and report any ...

Re: Assetts - Trees
Not sure if I understand your question. You download Links Extender > open it > click CRZ File > Open Crz file > Browse to the course file you want > wait for it to load > select 2D Objects from the drop-down list > Highlight the ones you want to extract (just get the ones ending with an A, skip B C...

Re: Links 2003 not working with Windows 10
Not many folk appear to have got Links running on a fresh install of Windows 11 on new hardware but seemingly more have done so via the update route if that helps. Perhaps you are right, but I run Links fine on my laptop which came with Win 11 https://linkscorner.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1942 I al...

Re: Assetts - Trees
Yes, from non-locked courses that contain those objects anyway, with Links Extender viewtopic.php?t=66
Note that APCD and Links can only handle TGA files (need to be 32-bit - i.e. containing transparency info) up to 1024x1024 pixels.

Re: Assetts - Trees
Yeah trees are 2D in Links. You could make a 3D tree, but it would be a lot of work for very little payoff since Links doesnt do any viewpoints in motion anyway. I dont think anyone has ever bothered.

Re: Quaker Ridge Golf Club Beta
If he corrects the hole shape issue, there is no way to keep the Course ID and Key the same as they were before. (Well, ok, I havent tested it with the hole boundary shape specifically, but normally it works that way, and I cant imagine the hole boundary shape being an exception)

Re: Links 2003 not working with Windows 10
@Mailman - Are you currently using the wrapper or no? I am not suggesting to try it, just asking out of curiosity. Also, have you tried to Override high DPI scaling in compatibility settings (or whatever the setting is called in Win 11)? (not sure if thats what you listed earlier or not) Have you tr...

Re: Links 2003 and Links 2001 won't launch
As far as Im aware, the USB issue is sort of rare, affecting only certain combinations of systems and USB devices. If you encounter the issue, you can likely solve it by trying different brands/models of USB devices, or ones that connect by other means (e.g. bluetooth).
