Re: New laptop advice?

The research I did pointed me toward AMD processors. So far, they don't have integratedgraphics.

Re: how to handicap holes

One use of hole handicaps I forgot to mention: when setting up a tournament I like to put some variety in, so I look for the more difficult par 3 or par 4 and play the toughest ones from either the middle or forward tees in one round or another. I use the hole handicap to help me find the right hole...

Re: how to handicap holes

:dunno: Going of the responce to my question of does anybody playing Links Courses use the Handicap System, It looks as though no one does, so why bother doing them ? :notworthy:  The handicap is used to allow competing players to allocate strokes to make the competition more fair, or as a ...

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release

I'm trying to get LSPN's Tour Administration to put Amedal in the LSPN Course Database so I can host a tournament there. I'm hoping you will have your 12 rounds in for the World Tour so I can make the tournament a handicapped one.

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release

The "fuzziness" struck me as being an atmospheric look. I use a Nvidia GTX 1050 ti video card with 4 GB of VRAM, and have my screen set at maximum sharpness - 1680 x 1050 - connected to a 23" Samsung HDTV 720p. I'll check it out more closely.

Re: Banff Springs 14th Hole Yardage

Don't confuse Colin Jones with Sage. Sage is the one that cranks out courses - Colin Jones did a quality job on the re-do of Banff.

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release

I tried and failed to find the course you mentioned on google maps satellite view, I often enjoy checking courses out that way. I realized that the text file for the recorded round tells a bit of a lie, it only seems to force pin positions to what they were in the recorded round. That course, Oak H...

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release

I looked Amedal over, and I have to say - terrific! Great textures, wonderful job with the plantings - very realistic looking, both trees and grasses. I like the rough textures with the long grasses coming out of it in some cases and also without it. Heavy rough plays as tough as it looks - but fair...
