Re: Ballyneal Golf and Hunt Club

Sage,

No technical issues with the greens, just difficult at the settings I was using, although still playable.

Re: Ballyneal Golf and Hunt Club

I've now played the course under Linux and it played fine there as well, so there appears to be now system problems. I've also walked the course. It is a very minimalist look, in keeping with the Links course inspiration. I did manage to find all of the "tees". There are certainly enough b...

Re: Ballyneal Golf and Hunt Club

I have played a quick round on my Notebook with the DDrawCompat wrapper and my desktop with an Nvidia GT1030.

It played well on both machines, you can get some tough putts, I played it at MC/MC.

I can see the Links type of course inspiration.

I need to now take a closer look at the course.

Re: Invisible tee markers

Thanks for the explanation.

That is quite unusual for a course.

Re: "And now, here's something we hope you'll really like!"......

I played Rabat Rouge today. Quite a decent course. I did play it as MC/MC, and the greens played well, unfortunately (for me) I left Links set to "Windy" and ended up in some trouble with the result of a +2 score. Another course where it comes in handy being able to shape the ball, but the...

Thanks for pointing out that Rabat Rouge is based on a real course, I had missed it.

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - The Memorial

After yesterday's nerve shattering round I spent extended time practicing to *try* and get some feel back. The shakes kept threatening to show, but was kept to poor distance control more than anything. Left a lot of long putts out there, but my lag putting was pretty good today. Driving was quite go...

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - The Memorial

What diabolical conditions and a score to match. Could not buy a putt, found the rough, found bunkers. The wind seem to be going the wrong way from what I needed and often lead to said rough and bunkers. Many a time I was aiming at water/bunkers/trees to try and keep the ball in play, even pulled ou...

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - The Memorial

Doug,

There was a good sprinkling of luck at the right times in the round.
