Re: True Blue beta 3
That roof is blue! I have played a further 3 rounds on machines ranging from a Gen 3 i3 to a Gen 13 i5. All my current systems are core i Series. The course looks good and plays well on all of them. My comment about the hole preview text holds true for all my systems. The text does overwrite the ima...

Re: True Blue beta 3
Just the one round played so far, so initial reactions. Good fix for the 17th tee. I find it an interesting and particularly enjoyable course to play, it is very picturesque. A special mention on the undergrowth planting, it covers things like the tree bases nicely and makes it look very natural, it...

Re: Links and courses in CRS format - any convert tools?
I have the 5 course libraries and quite a few of the early course kits. If I recall correctly most older courses have been recreated for the later versions of Links and especially for the 2001/2003 versions. From what I can see you have all the early courses. There are some around the 1997-99 timefr...

Re: Links and courses in CRS format - any convert tools?
Microsoft Golf 98 & 99 has no relationship to other versions of MS Golf or Links, it is a completely different engine by another company.

Re: Links and courses in CRS format - any convert tools?
The PC versions of Links used the following formats:
SVGA Courses .crh
LS Courses .crx
Links 2001/2003 .crz
You can go from H -> X -> Z but never the other way. The newer formats support higher resolution textures.

Re: Links 2003 not working with Windows 10
Over the years different Nvidia driver versions have given vastly different results, I recall the day when you would identify a good version and stick to it. On my Linux notebook I only found a Nvidia driver version this week that works relatively well with Links, prior to this the embedded Intel GP...

Re: Shadow Creek Release
I'm wondering if there is going to be a final release of this course.

Re: Quaker Ridge Golf Club Beta
FWIW I have found a sound script that provides environmental background sounds across all of my systems reliably, i.e. multiple Windows 11 & Linux systems
It is called Natural Wall of Sound has birds, insects, some gently running water, even the occasional light plane so far.

Re: How many....?
I do not keep any, other than the ones that came with Links, in the courses folder. All of the others are on a second internal disk on most machines. I just Add and Delete them from the list as needed, I have most real courses that have been released on the disks, appropriately filed in different fo...
