Background: This is the fourth golf course released to Links Corner by Mr. Dennis in less than a month! As most of you probably know doing a well done golf course in the APCD takes months (at best). Doing four courses in a month is not conducive to great creations. Two of the previous three have now been reviewed and the impression I am getting from those reviews didn't leave me wanting to rush right in to playing this one. But, I like to keep an open mind, so we will see.
Overall Impression: Well, so much for the open mind. This is another cookie cutter 'blow and go' golf course. That is a construction term for doing work really fast and sloppy. Well, that is what this course is, fast and sloppy. I will say this though; it is probably the most colorful golf course for Links that I have ever seen. Every tee box has a different theme of flowers lining each side. Along with the brightly colored trees and pano it makes for a surrealistic kind of experience. However, the course itself is not well done and almost unplayable at times. Stock shapes were used everywhere and many bad technical glitches are evident.
Playability: This course has some very playable holes and some almost impossible ones. The technical issues affect playability as well.
Shot Values: Really not much to talk about here. The course is too simplistic to really consider this issue.
Visuals: Well, as I said above, this course is very colorful! If you like to 'stop and smell the roses' then this course is for you! You almost need to put on your sunglasses to play this course is has so many bright flowers, trees and backdrops.
Technique: This course fails miserably in this area. The technical errors are everywhere, from sharp edges, bad shadows, floating trees, wild unnatural elevations and poorly done hazards, this course has it all (bad things that is).
Summary: This is not a well done golf course and I can't recommend it to anyone. It is kind of interesting to look at all the flowers, but that isn't enough to waste your time downloading it.
