Mauna Kea is beautiful but it reminded me of the time I played golf on the Big Island (company convention). We played the 2 courses at Waikalola and there was relatively little in the way of fairway rough-most of it is lava-at least where I hit it-but the few times that I managed to hit the fairways I remember that the ball made a sort of "hollow" sound when it landed.
Does any designer know what I'm talking about?
Just wondering...
