I just downloaded the new 2020 version of the De Zalze Estate golf course for Links and it looks great! I have always considered this course for Links to be kind of a "hidden gem" and the update only makes me want to play it more often!

I just played a round-gorgeous...and I particularly enjoyed the buildings-not to mention the vineyards!

It got me to thinking (always dangerous). I'm too lazy to look but does anyone have an idea how many real courses we have in the southern hemisphere! Not just Africa (this may be the only one) bur Australia, New Zealand and particularly South America-I'll forget Antarctica until things warm up.

There is:
Huntingdale - Australia
Wagga Wagga - Australia
The Vintage - Australia
The National Old - Australia
Royal Melbourne - Australia
Robina Woods - Australia
Royal Kenya - (supposed to be a real course somewhere in South Africa but I've never managed to find which)
De Zalze - South Africa
Kauri Cliffs - New Zealand
Le Touessrok - Mauritius

There are a couple more, at least in Australia and South Africa, but I didnt personally think they were good enough that I wanted to mention them.

If we stretch the limit to include a few slightly above the equator: Saigon -Vietnam and Rabat Rouge - Morocco (listed as fictional but as far as Im concerned its real).

Tara Iti was started by Duck Hook  and may come out one day :clapping:

South America - sadly none  I dont even know any fictional mainland ones except for Darwin Point. John Brook's ST Lucia and Cedar Valley are probably the closest real ones.

Please do let me know if I've missed any respectable course!!

Awaba Forest I think was his. The greens were too easy on this one imo. I played it quite recently. Apart from the greens a nice course.

Awaba Forest Golf Club and Waterstone Golf Club from Jason Thorpe. I thought there were more, but they were all fictional.

It looks like we've opened a new thread-sorry!
Back to this course-what wine would you recommend while playing? :cheers1:
