He did a real nice job Jim. Just having people and camera towers gives it a different feel. Putting just off the green and through the fringe is WAY better.

Jimbo,
I didn't realise that I had upset you, - at least not enough for you to swear at me.
I like this course so much that I will be be playing each round based on the course conditions given here. Not expecting to worry the leaderboard, nor make the cut,but it will give me a break from building Pelican Hill.
Ron, thank you on for the time you give to provide this information.

I never worry the scoreboard :)
But playing along is helping me to play Links better, I do use RTS so that may be a disadvantage, but I think it is overall the most realist mode of play. I was looking favourably at Powerstroke, for realism, until I encountered the click for the wrist snap.
Augusta is one of those courses I typically play badly on, mind you I tend not to play any well, somewhat like the real thing.

Des,
Augusta is one of those courses I typically play badly on
Many of the worlds great golfers have had the same problem.
When I started playing this wonderful game on Links I tried each of the swing types and quickly realised that there was only one that I would get any enjoyment from and that was the the classic swing. (In real life my swing would have been described more as avant-garde by the polite observer.)
Here at least I will be able to play the four rounds, irrespective of my score.
Good luck.
Ian

I wanted something that mimicked as close as possible real life golf, I started playing in 1969.
As such clicking did not really do anything for me, hence why PS's introduction in Links 2001 and RTS's introduction in Links 2003 caught my attention, Like I said PS lost me with the click for the wrist snap, up until that point I thought it did match the swing plane very well, I could see the similarities. The back and forward motion of RTS mimics the swing plane as well although at a 90 degree angle, but at least it takes the wrist snap for the automatic action it is. Some instructions by pmgolf allowed me to set up stock fade and draw shots in RTS so that made it more complete.
I just had a practice round at Augusta, needs more work, same holes giving me trouble.
