Hello everyone! I'm a 57 years old man.

I was looking for a golf pc game. I gave a try to PGA Tour 2k21 & 2k23, but all in all I prefer vintage games and I think Links 2003 is the best one!

I choose this funny nickname because the Mulligan button is the one I click more often.
Now I'm playing the default courses, but I can't wait to play some of your custom courses.

I have a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@Southcitygolf) where I've made videos on many of the courses. Players can check out the videos and see if they would like to download a given course and it allows me the opportunity to showcase hidden gems that would otherwise be overlooked. I have about 1100+ crz's in my library. Feel free to stop by and get some ideas on the next course you'd like to play

Hello newbie (shorter than Mul...). I'm 80, and I agree with you. I've been playing Links for almost 35 years using the Classic 2-click method for the first 20 and the RTS method for the last 15. For the most part, the guys here are pretty reasonable, but you will encounter the occasional gruff, impatient old grouch. No serious gruffness though.

The main thing you will encounter is a bunch of people who love this game and are more than willing to help you with any problems. If you don't understand anything - just ask. How to do something, or find something, whatever. First, for example, golf courses. The earliest courses were pretty good, and they were fun to play. And they got better and better. Several people tried creating golf courses and we found some real talent. Some people created courses and even sold some of them. Now though, all of them are free! Look for courses by Mike Jones, Robert Miller, Colin Jones, McCoist, Ian Wells to start.

Before I forget, there are 2 main Links sites: LinksCorner.ORG where all the courses are kept in addition to a variety of animations, different clubs, golf outfits, etc. A lot to explore there. and then there is LSPN.NET where the Tournaments are played. Some times it takes a while for an application to get read there, but if you will come up with a player name you want to use, give it to me and I will try to get it noticed. If possible, keep it fairly short because you will have to type it a zillion times before you're done. My player name is "PMgolf" and I've used it since I started. I am a Tournament Director at LSPN.NET and I run a Links tour called the "World Tour" there.

Don't worry about how good you are - golf wise. There are many levels of talent. You can use Amateur level along with practice to help when you start. I saw Italy mentioned, and we have 1 italian player. He uses RTS. I shoot around even-par and I also use RTS (called Real Time Swing). I have the original Links 2k3 manual and I can send you a copy if you want.

Try the various swing types and see which you like best, Practice mode and the driving range can be useful there.

I started playing links in 98 up to 03 and years later moved on to the 2K series, but eventually I wanted back to Links. You can't beat this game with it's career mode vast courses and amazing community. Currently I'm working on the personalization of my player.
I've already downloaded some animations, photos, clubs...
But unfortunately I see soundscripts links on andyhope site are broken.
Does anyone know an alternative site to download soundscripts?
