When do you feel you play your best Links golf? Time of day etc?

I appear to be most switched on in the late afternoon. I play my best rounds when I really feel like a game of Links. It makes a big difference to your scores imo when you are totally "in the mood" for the game.

Generally when I am in the mood for virtual golf (I play many other games now); but it could be anytime. However , I must admit I probably play my best rounds about half way through my 2nd bottle of wine. I'm guessing that's when I am the most relaxed.

My best time is in the evening, around 7 or 8pm.

For me anytime of the day works, more about mood like Nemo said, but I sometimes avoid playing when I feel a little drowsy after meals or when my eyes feel tired, at least if I care about scoring well. Enjoyment of playing golf tends to be moderately linked to how one scores though, so..

Afternoons. Used to play on Game Ranger in evenings, but was missing a lot of Sports viewing.

Always my second nine when I play online against mates over at Tigercats. I need 9 holes to get my rhythm!
