Welcome back, Dave Lomax!

Post by pmgolf »

I remember you. I played back then. Did you play in the Access Software leagues? I was in the "Divots" Club, and then made it to the Pro Tour. We sent our round info in via 9800 baud modems at first. I was pmgolf back then, too. I made some sound files and sent them out on CD to some of the players.

If I'm right your first is name Dave, right? What have you been doing all these years? I now run a Links Tour on LSPN.net called "The World Tour". Drop by and take a look!

I do remember that, Sage! ANd I had to pay some ridiculous price for a few additional MB of RAM!

I lucked out, courtesy of my then wife working at home as a programmer/systems analyst, and had the use of a USRobotics 14.4kbps modem (with the "best lights", round or square, I forget which now). Using Telix zmodem, it took "only" a couple of hours to send the less than 2MB Doom II to a friend running a local BBS (hope the beer is Canada-cold wherever you ended up, Bill Cassidy)
