They're a blessing for APCD'ers IMHO-and most of the "big" courses have them-some with narrations and all with reference notes!
One other thing-if you want to see exactly where tournaments objects (especially grandstands) then visit the PGA Tour site, pick a golfer and follow him with Shot Tracker. You'll see a red box that says 3D. That will give you a great 3d view of the hole that your golfer is playing.
