Hyperlinks in posts

Is there a setting/switch I am missing when posting a link to another webpage that will open a new tab, by default, when a reader clicks the link? This is how it operated on the old forum. On this new forum, the default action is to take the reader away from their current location to the new link on the same tab. The reader could always right-click on the link and choose how to open the link if there is no switch.
