You kept it together better than I did Ian, then again my day 1 score was not the best of starts, so always behind.
Still, means there is room for improvement.

I went out to the 18th green in practice mode, From some spots I was aiming at a 45 degree angle, tried using different swing strengths and lines and still could not get the ball to stop in the same postcode.

Somehow you've got hit the ball softer on these fast greens. Consistently is another story. My mouse is a track ball. It doesn't move, hence why I click. You can't roll the track ball straight, at least straight far enough for a swing plain.

I have filed a protest with the commissioner for the penalty stroke on sixteen.

I swear I posted about my round 3 but I can't find it anywhere in this thread good thing I keep notes.
Round 3 started with 2 bogies before a chip-in on #3 for birdie, birdie at #5, bogey from the sand at #6, eagle at #7 pars to close out the front side in 35 shots, back side started with a birdie from 5 feet from a superb loft wedge, pars until a bogey at #14, birdie at #15, bogey after missing the green at #16, finished with pars to come back in in 36 shots for 35-36=71. 9 fairways, 10 greens, 27 putts.
Round 4 was crazy in a good way as I started out with 5 birdies, chipping in on #2, par from the sand short of #6, birdies at #7 and #8 before a par at #9 to finish the front nine in 29 shots, after the turn the good shots kept coming, birdies at #10 and #11 just 33 inches! Bogey at #12 from a drive left, pars at #13 and #14, birdie from 13 inches at #15, chip in on #16, par at #17 finished with a bogey at #18 after missing the green. 29-34=63, 10 fairways, 11 greens, 21 putts. Fairways missed were usually in the first cut and manageable to get to the green.
Best four rounds I've put in this season!

Thanks guys! I was in the zone as they like to say, seemed like when I missed a fairway it was in the 1st cut so not too unpredictable to hit into greens.
See you up in Philly!
Jim
I looked at Aronimink on Links and there were only 8 pins on the few different holes that I looked at, hopefully that is not a deal breaker for us to play that tourney.
