My round started simple enough, birdie from 8 feet at #2, bogey from the sand in front of #4, double bogey from sand behind the green on #5, bogey from sand at #7, sand off the tee at #8 was able to make par (catching a theme?) and finished the front 9 with a 3 putt bogey to go out in 40. 2 pars to start the back 9, a bogey from the sand in front of #12, birdie at 15, a bogey from over the green on #17, saved par at 18 with a 2 putt from 60 feet to come in in 37 for a 40-37=77 5 over par first round. 13 fairways, 9 greens, 29 putts. I spent more time on the beach than David Hasselhoff!

:clapping: Pin sheets for The Masters :wallbash:

***SCG - My apologies this morning. The Masters, along with the USGA (PGA National), like to keep a tight lid on the Pin Sheets so I'm unable to get them from my usual place. Augusta finally released the sheet about an hour before the round started (3:45 am PST) over on Facebook (pfft). I was getting up every few hours to check. Saw the release at 4:15 and started working ASAP. Don't know when they will drop but I'll stay up to a point, then I'll go to bed if they don't want to play in anymore reindeer games. I should have them by the start of the round like today at the worst. Fingers crossed. :fcrossed:

P.S. It's 20:00 I'm thinking 6-7 hr sleep and check back 03:30. It is what it is... sigh :tiphat:

After 4 holes -1, after 9 holes +1, very happy with that.
After 18 holes +9, according to the score card, but according to the score as I finish the round it shows +7? :ill:
The driver worked well with 85% in fairway. 50% GIR and 30 putts give the true story of my round.
I use the green conditions m/c, m/c to test my builds, so m/c, m/f made for a testing time.
As always, the next round will be better, and this time I may even have a warm-up on the practice range and green. Perhaps?

Any idea why the scores are different?

I played this course when it was issued by Linkster and I had the tournament objects and crowds on as they were new. I don't like playing with crowds so for this round I switched them off, but they are clear to see. Am I missing a setting?

Ian, the +7 was your score BEFORE the 18th hole was completed, which you double-bogied for +9.

-3 thru 8 and feelin' ok. Lousy chip on 9; bogie. Water ball on 11 after swearing I was gonna play my second shot one zip code to the right. Now even par. Birdies on 13 and 14! Sitting 48 yards from the pin in two on 15 and...bogie. :wallbash: Par in for 71.

Video is in two parts as Links kicked me out after the 4th hole. One of the many people smarter than me would have spliced it, but, well, you know, I'm not one of them.

Normal programming has resumed a +5 77.

Usual sort of story, just catching edge of bunkers, not taking enough club yet at other time too much, could not buy a putt and left some nasty ones.

 Sorry. I guess I'm one of those pains that knows the answer but doesn't know when to shut up. Or when to send a PM.
