Ian,
I've looked at them side by side and I think they are about as close as you will get them to each other, by eye at least.
I have some two monitor desktop systems and was able to start Links up and compare. I think you have a better colour balance than this desktop (it's Windows 11 with the LG monitors) so that is a good start.
Of course that are a multitude of screens and panels out there all with different calibration. It seems to me the default in the consumer space is to set the default calibration to be over bright, that is what I noticed immediately when I set up the LG monitors.
You have started me again :) I have an Nvidia HBA in my desktop now, so I am trying different settings in it as well as monitor settings.

Thank you des.
(I have already toned down the intensity for Pelican Hill Ocean South.)

There is a texture beside the first and 9th fairways marked IH 28. I looks like a partial wood, but with no turf.

Hi Jimbo,
Did you find this during normal play or by going walkabout?
(I tried to build the course so that when playing the course the ball would land on a texture, not a Google earth overhead.)

I was playing a practise round...and doing my usual thing about looking for the clubhouse but this showed up when I was playing. I used the overhead view and saw a weird view just beyond the trees.
I walked over and saw what was a blank space.
The texture is labeled IH_11-thre''s a good view from the fairway bunker and a partial view to the right of the first tree, just in front of the hill.

I’m sorry Jimbo, I obviously failed with my intention, I hope it didn’t spoil the enjoyment of your round.

I will never criticize a designer-the APCD program is too damn difficult!
And the Nitpicker is no longer in business...if I see something strange I'll PM...but I wasn't looking on the BETA. Anyway the Golfpass site gives great overheads of all the courses showing the complete layout as well as overhead closeups of each hole, unfortunately it doesn't show elevations.

...and the mountains.
I walked over and say what was a blank space. It looks like the first hole runs beside expensive housing.
Jimbo wrote: ↑January 27th, 2026, 4:29 pm but the course is so far above the housing that you'd never get near it unless you hit an unbelievable OB
The texture is labeled IH_11-thre''s a good view from the fairway bunker and a partial view to the right (west) of the first tree, just in front of the hill hill-it looks like housing but it's so far below the course (this thing is a really "high" course!) It also shows up beside the 17th hole-it's actually the tennis (or pick;eball or whatever) courts beside the clubhouse (I always look for the clubhouse-they're usually near the first tee-not usually behind the 18th but there are always exceptions

and it's always a shame when you can't get a good view-beacuse of the trees (did I mention trees?)

Pinseeker,
Thank you, and if I may say, a very nice score, well done.
