:clapping: 2026 THE PLAYERS Championship - 1st Rd - Pin Position :kicking:

With thunderstorms in the forcast, at some point I think we'll have a windy day or two. Play it by ear. With rain Thursday, I've soften up the track from 13(mc/fc) down to 12.4(sc/fc). :clapping: Have Fun and Good Luck gentlemen :tiphat:

What a disastrous start, a 77 to kick off this tournament. Not sure how round 2 will go, the way I'm playing I might not be here for the weekend. :dunno:

I rebounded from my poor play at Bay Hill where I didn't break 80 (I did play with Gusty/Soft/Firm but not challenging)

Round started with 3 pars, bogies at 4 and 7 after missing greens for a 38 on the front nine, back nine started with a hot putter as I made birdies on 3 of the first four holes on the back nine and it should have been all 4 but I left my putt inches short at 12, a bogey from the sand at 13, 2 putt birdie from 12 feet at 16, came up just short on 17 into the water and made triple bogey, straight drive at 18 and made par to finish with 36 on the back nine for 74, 2 over par. 12 Fairways, 10 greens, 28 putts. Glad I took it off challenging as some of those pins looked impossible under challenging conditions.

Well, I already played round 2 (is that legal?) Anyway, birdied 1 and 2, added three birdies on the back nine, and then...75 again. Six over after two rounds; I'm not touching a club this weekend. As a Scandinavian-American (grandparents), my only hope now is to do better than Sami Valimaki and Thorbjorn Olesen.

Tough course to make your debut on Doug and yes, you can play anytime you like. The freedom of having fun. The only one you have to please is please yourself...hmmm That didn't come out right. and I don't think anyone would be bothered if you were to test the course during the 3rd and 4th rounds. You know, Quality control. Just sayin' :cheers1:

I believe I will leave this course in my rear view...

Hopefully Copperhead will be more my style. :fcrossed:

I started round 2 hoping I would see the weekend. Was going well 1 under after 2 then came the 3rd hole. The pin location from hell got me good, walked off the 3rd with a 10 and straight to the clubhouse. I tried, but this course got the best of me. See you all at Innisbrook

Olesen +4

Valimaki +8

Sigh...a Scandinavian sandwich.
