AI Championship Skillset

Post by RobV »

Hello - has anyone been able to figure the total points used for the Championship AI in the game? Wondering what total points are being used for each skillset. Basically I want to clone the 4 Championship level AI and create some new players, but using those points. Given that the points are hidden, I am unable to see the points in each skill category. Just wondering if anyone has figured it out.

Thank you..

I use AI players a lot and all are set to 78 points total. Most of the time they play like a good pro. That is probably a good starting point for you to try. They play very similar scores to what I play where I average a couple under par for a round.

You cannot change the skill level (points) for a computer AI.
If you make a new player or clone a player from a made up player you can adjust
the skill level (points) inside the game.

I don't want to change the AI player's skills.. I want to clone them and then tweak each individual skill to make them unique, but yet, keep them close to the stock Championship skills they came with. And I figured they were around total 78 points, but also wondering how those points are distributed throughout all the skills... ie putting, chipping, driving, short game, etc.

Don't know where 78 came from. a guess?
You can clone an AI & then adjust the skill (points) level of the cloned player.

RobV,
I created a spreadsheet years ago that lets you rate a PGA pro according to his yearly stats. It's under Misc Add-On Downloads, Links Computer players. You can use this as a guide to rate players. BTW, the computer anis in Links in my opinion are rated way higher than 78. I think they are probably in the 90's.

Split the difference. I believe they are in the mid 80's.

Thanks bill! I will take a look at the spreadsheet, appreciate it.. and I agree, I think they are higher than 78... I know once you dabble around 76.5 and higher, the skill level turns from Pro to Champ.

All - Again... I know you cannot change the skill points of the stock ani players and you cannot clone a championship player as their skills are "hidden". I just downloaded a whole bunch of PGA players from animasters and simply want to put their skills inline with the stock players that came with the game, tweaking certain skills here and there, up and down, from golfer to golfer.
