Just wondering, I design my courses for "closeup".

What view do you play with..?
What view do you play with..?
If there is one thing ................ummmmmmmm.......I can't remember.
Re: What view do you play with..?
Normal. The only setting I've ever played.

Since I switched to RTS 10 years ago, closeup.

Play in closeup unless I encounter a blind shot.
Re: What view do you play with..?
My reply is the same as Stephen's above. I think close-up gives a more realistic "golfer's level" view of playing. Normal seems like you're viewing
the course while standing on a 20 ft. ladder to me. I'll use it only if I need to.

I play close up.
I was amazed though when I played Wade Hampton in panorama, some things needed to be changed.
Now I play a round or two in panorama before I release the course.

Re: What view do you play with..?
I have always left that setting as the default (Normal) and never gave it a thought. Now I'm curious, so I tried Closeup and I like it! Am switching to that now for a while (but will keep my poll answer as Normal). Tried Panoramic too and did not care for that, it felt too far away from the action.

Re: What view do you play with..?
Hi guys...
I was surprised a while back by how many players that are not aware how easy it is to switch between the 3 golfer views. The hot keys used to toggle between the 3 views are "ALT+V". Each time you press ALT+V it will switch to the next view in succession. For example, if you are in the close-up view, ALT+V will switch to the FAR AWAY view, The next ALT+V will switch to the MEDIUM view, and the next ALT+V will switch to the CLOSE UP view.
It comes in handy to toggle between the 3 different views for several reasons. Many times in the FAR AWAY view, you can see more scenery up ahead of you. Sometimes You can see over some hills or slopes or bunker lips, plus you may be able to see some tree limbs just above your head. I have found those quick hot key view changes to come in handy a lot, so it's something to keep in mind. It takes no time at all to swap between the 3 views and you may find it a handy way to look around.
Remember, the toggle succession it always follows is (assuming you are in the CLOSE view when you start) FAR, MEDIUM, CLOSE, FAR, MEDIUM, CLOSE etc etc...
Hope that helps,
Dan
