I second this. Both the European and World Tour have openings for players at all levels, with a variety of events using 1.07.

While Im not sure if online tournaments is really my thing, Im considering at least trying it out. Kinda lost on how to go about it though. Was thinking about testing European or World Tour, those are the only ones with handpicked pins right? Both require me to have a handicap before applying? Was it 12 rounds to get a handicap? Do they need to be specific types of tournaments? Is there any way I could do those 12 rounds on any tournament that has handpicked pins so I dont risk ragequitting before I even get started trying your tours (leagues?) out?

Have a look at the Help Page http://www.lspn.net/help.php

On the European Tour it's a 2 round main event and a 2 round handicap event. So you would have to play 6 main events before starting the handicap, OR I can enable the Q School events, which comprise 3 events of 4 rounds each. You can play these so you can start the handicap earlier

Oh I see you have both hcp and without, that works. When previewing courses and conditions it says "random pins" for both european and world tour, they are handpicked though?

Oh yes, the pins are handpicked (though the odd bad one does creep in)

I am sure Pete at the World Tour has something similar to my Q School to gain your handicap

To clarify, the online tournaments consist of play where you see the leaderboard for the tournament between shots. You can also play offline and not see the tournament leaderboard until you finish your round and go back into the web site.

To establish your handicap I use 3 scratch tournaments of 4 rounds each with courses that have already been used in my tournaments, selecting courses that are a good representation of the ones we regularly play. The pins are what we always use.

Pins: I've seen "all #3 pins" and "all moderate pins" used, but invariably you wind up with a pin that's a stinker! I inspect every pin selected and insure that it doesn't violate the 3% rule. "John Sanford, president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, says “You can’t have a hole positioned anywhere where the slope is more than 3 percent, otherwise, you might just miss the hole, and now you’re 10 feet by, coming back. That’s not fair.” I check every pin - N, S, E and W, each from 3 feet away to make sure the elevation doesn't change by more than 1" (or as close to that as I can get it.) If there aren't enough good pin positions I don't use the course!

Courses: Top 150, mostly real. Usually at least breezy, rarely Soft (Challenging) or Slow (Challenging).

Steve and I are on the same page when it comes to tournament preparation. The World Tour has two 4 round events weekly - the World Tour Event and the LWT (from the old KISS tour) Event. Occasional Historical tournaments using setups from old apcd-courses, UK Offline and APCD-Tour Events.

So will the renewal fees be waivered as well.

Linksters need to be heading over to LSPN for both the EURO & WORLD tours. I would not miss them for anything.

No fees going forward is how I read it, though he is going to add a donate button like Andy has here.

I observe no change, since upgrading to Tour Player. It's still only showing the FREE tournaments. Yes, I have checked my settings on the LSPN website.
