Last one to get off the course, they kept hustling me along as they were trying to cut tomorrows pins and didn't want me to see (like it would help me, LOL). I usually don't look at the other scores before playing my round as I don't want to put extra pressure on myself. Pretty even round, was hitting the ball really good, just a spot below the top snap to knock off just a little on a couple of approaches, flat stick felt good but still missed at least 4 makeable putts. A couple of pars to start, birdie at #3, #5, #6 to go out in 32, second nine started with my first missed green of the round then I got the irons dialed in with back to back birdies at #11 & 12 (3.2 ft and 30 in) birdie at #14 and what should be called a bogey at I just missed the green at #15 and didn't make easy birdie putt to settle for par, only bogey of the round came on #17 as I drove left into the rough fearful of the water on the right side of the fairway, laid up short of the green as I didn't know if my approach would carry the water and missed 12 par putt for bogey, came in in 33 for a 32-33=65 6 under par for the tournament.

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - Travelers Championship
Yesterday was a lot easier to play than today because my approach shots today were not as accurate as yesterday.
No bogies going out and only one coming back, for a score of 31/33 64.
(Played conservatively short on the 15th and ended up struggling for a par.)
I am happy with the score but it means I won't be moving up the board - at least not today.

I gotta play at night; it's just the way I am. As soon as Thomas posts the pins and conditions, and I have finished dinner, I'm on the first tee. Better to do it ahead than behind, if that makes sense.
3rd round 61, with two bogeys. Not quite up to Ian's accomplishment yesterday, but OK anyway. And I finally birdied 6! Wish I could make more of those curvy short ones, but I guess everyone does. And sometimes they do go in, much to my surprise.
My string of one-shot videos has ended, so this is a three-parter. Sorry.
https://youtu.be/zoGS7aH_Ugk?si=521_seUDd3AryBWs (from beginning to my birdie attempt on 11; honestly, I think I would have missed it except for the interruption-guess what happened on the replay.
HOWEVER, I had made my par putt on 12 when my computer froze, as you can see. Missed on the replay. So there.)

that I missed to the rest of the way; eagle on 13)

Well I went out for a half hour of practice before my round, need to stop the increasing score trend, otherwise known as the rot setting in.
It looked ominous, A lack of mouse control (RTS) poor swing length judgement etc etc, did not bode well for my round. I managed to even do this nasty hook.
Towards the end, my mouse control clicked into place and my judgement of swing length and club to use improved, while I use the caddy, that I take as just a starting point and I adjust the club from there, my caddy does not allow for any breeze well, nor ground level changes, but he is cheap.
I started birdie, birdie, courtesy of an 8 metre putt then a 6 metre putt. I was sinking them from everywhere, lag putts left me close enough to sink the next. A further 3 birdies and I went out in 30. Great start I thought, if I could consolidate on the back nine and pick up a couple more birdies I thought I could post a good score, much like day one, except with my run of holes on the front nine instead of the back.
Started the back 9, birdie, birdie, same as the front nine, great, then the world went mad. I birdied 13, 14 & 16, with an eagle thrown inbetween on 15, then another birdie on 18 to come home in 27. I was on a real roll and could do no wrong.
A round of 57, I was shocked. No bogies, but 11 birdies and one eagle and all on challenging settings. My other scores in the 50's have all been on classic Links settings.
100% of drives in the fairway, 83% of greens in regulation. A total of 22 putts, so they were dropping from everywhere, my break judgement and speed on the putts was good. Even had one chip in. Yet I was not knocking shots to dead of the pin, it was the short game that gave the score.
-3 on the par 5's
-8 on the par 4's
-2 on the par 3's
What breeze there was turned out in my favour, either helping me get over the water or making sure I did not drift towards it.
It was one of those rounds where everything came together. I did not really leave anything out there.

With the time zone difference it means I generally play my round during the afternoon. So the pros finish on Sunday afternoon, I finish on Sunday afternoon just about 14 or so hours earlier.

Des,
I had to read your post twice as I couldn't believe what I read.
That score is outstanding, full stop, but for RTS it is phenomenal.
(Heavens knows what score you would have posted with one hour practice?
)

I was rapt Ian, hmm an hours practice, probably would have been worn out and not been able to break 80.
I have had real rounds the same when everything seem to click, just like Links, it was not a case of putting everything close to the pin but rather the short game that made the difference but with no bad shots in the long game.
