Green Bay Country Club
2400 Klondike Rd, Green Bay, Wisconsin, 54311-6936

Not far from Green Bay, Green Bay Country Club offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep Green Bay Country Club difficult yet friendly, and the staff can offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. Green Bay Country Club is a terrific choice for your regular rounds of golf or a new destination for you and friends when visiting Green Bay.

Most Americans think of Green Bay foremost for its snow (during Winter American football games at nearby Lambeau Field) however the city has worthwhile green space as well during the warmer months. Unlike Milwaukee down south, the gem of the Green Bay golf scene is a new money entry from Dick Nugent, featuring both distance and heroism required for an optimal score.

Playing more than 7,100 yards, Bower Creek divides the property and Nugent is happy to work it into his routing. Players will face 14 forced carries over water throughout the round.

Although many of these are lengthy fours and fives that force the player to make a wise decision before attempting a carry, the most interesting may be No. 8, the shortest hole on the course. The creek was routed so that it flows well below the green, both in front of and behind the putting surface. The style, at least aesthetically, is a strong comparison point to Tillinghast’s Moat Hole at Galen Hall.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE!
Green Bay Country Club, established in 1995, is a year-round private golf and country club overlooking the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin. In fact, the 14th Hole, unofficially referred to as the “Chamber of Commerce” hole, provides a stunning elevated view of the area, from Lambeau Field to the Fox River to the Bay of Green Bay, and all the businesses, homes, and recreational opportunities that make up the city we love.

The Golf Course
The golf course is nicknamed The Hawk, as much for the vision and foresight of our members as for the red-tailed hawks that soar high above our 310 acres of land. Built on beautiful, rolling hills with running streams and towering trees, our 7,097 yard, par 72 course has periodically been ranked among the top five private clubs in the state. Green Bay Country Club’s 18 holes have also been described as one of Dick Nugent’s best course designs. Our course features five sets of tees to provide competitive play for members with varying handicaps. Dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, doglegs, and masterfully placed fairway bunkers add to the challenge of the course. It's the kind of course you'll want to play again and again as you strive to master all of its nuances.

Hi everyone,
I didn't realize the bunker edges were messed up. I have fixed that issue

Thanks Southcitygolf for your time you take to review all our courses. It's by watching your video I notice the bunker edges. :clapping:

Hi Sage,

I have only played one round so far and have not yet walked the course so very early comments.

The course has a look of its own, I quite like it, it makes it more interesting than a lot of courses which are more run of the mill. I also like the previews they look good.

One thing I have noticed during my play, the course does seem to render quite slowly.

Hi Pete,
Glad you like the course. Ron Weel deserves credit too for a fine detail planting job. It would not look as finished without his work.
I'm almost certain this is going to happen on almost every course with Links 2003. It's just a matter of time that some error is going to pop up and ruin your day.
I go thru this kinda thing almost every day with APCD.

Let me know if any issues that need to be addressed.

By the way, Charles Hall did the hole previews as the splash screen indicates.

I've now had the opportunity to walk the course.

As usual excellent work with great attention to detail. I like the planting it works well.

Walking the course has reinforced my impression of slow rendering at times.

I appreciate how the fringe has encroached into the greens at times, I see this in real life golf a lot.

Nothing is really jumping out at me.

In the first picture is this what you mean about the bunker edges?

In the second I am wondering about the blue area on the horizon, I see this on a few holes but I am not sure if intended or not.
