Is it possible to disable Right click mulligans?

Post by WillK »

I like playing with mulligans in case I accidentally misclick the left mouse and do a crazy swing. I just play casually. But sometimes when I swing I accidentally misclick the right mouse button and it triggers a mulligan. Is it possible to unbind this control?

AFAIK disabling mulligans is the only way to stop the behaviour, I've never seen a way to remap the mouse in Links

It always happens to me after I hit a great shot...I killed my only albatross.

Ok I found a workaround, there is a free software called X-Mouse button control. You can set profiles for specific executables so I set mine to LinksMMIII.exe and disabled the RMB. I also disabled it from starting up at windows start and made a shortcut below my Links game to run it when I play. However, you cannot change swing types. If you're made to do a chip shot at far range you can't change the shot type without re-enabling RMB.

The easiest way is to load Links 2003. Now select new round. Then under Rules..., stroke. Click on mulligans, you should see:
= Mulligans not allowed
= 1 mulligan
= 2 mulligans
= 5 mulligans
= 10 mulligans
= Unlimited Mulligans

Pick mulligans not allowed. You will have to play the shot. You can not right click it.

Happy Penalties! Jim :cheers1:

If you are playing in someone's tournament, they may have taken steps to disallow what you are doing.
