Sage, I had already added the LSPN Course Database record for Mammoth Dunes. And Handicaps don't usually get entered - we usually put Zeros for all of them. If someone needs a handicap, a print of the course handicaps could be used. To put the unused handicaps on the database, Andy would need to add a record, Mark would need to delete a record, and I would have to add a record, where I normaly would have just put zeros in. Handicaps are not used in any of the programming.

The alternative would be for Andy to revert back to the original LinksCorner.org page and all is done. To reduce the confusion, that would be my recommendation.

Whatever works best for the Links community as a whole is what works for me. I'm not a player just a designer.

Is there a problem having two versions to download with different nomenclatures?

"with different nomenclatures..." The problem is two courses with (exactly) the same name, course id and course key. Those 3 things identify a course just like Sage Vanni identifies you! Mammoth Dunes and Mammoth Dunes at Sand Valley are not the same to the database. That's all it takes. Maybe worthwhile doing if one of them has reflective water and the other does not. Are Handicaps the only difference that the 2nd MAmmoth Dunes has over the first? A quick fix might be possible.

All I'm saying is I feel the fix needs to be available to downloaders despite the LSPN issues.

I did not take the time to make the fix only to have the latest version available.

I see your point - effort expended. Can you change the Course Name any, like Mammoth Dunes of Sand Valley? "at" to "of" makes the name different.

Pete,

May I suggest that before any additions to the LSPN course database get made that a grace period of say a week be allowed for any last minute changes.

Over the years I have seen a lot of such changes when things have been discovered by the wider community.

FWIW the course id and course keys are different.
Perhaps Andy could change the name of the "HC FIX" to something like that? Seems as though it's been done before.

I'm getting Mark to make several changes on the LSPN Course Database. It should work out fine.
