Very sorry to hear of Art's passing.
Rest In Peace, Art. You will be fondly remembered.

Re: Art Patscheck
Art is one of the excellent designers from way, way back. I just played Avocet 2003 a week ago, not knowing he was no longer with us. Thank you Art and blessings to your family at the time of your passing. We'll miss you!

Always sad to hear when a familiar old name from the links community has passed. Like many, I enjoyed his courses and also checked out his tutorial.
Despite the circumstances, it's good to hear from you Grooch. Loved your version of Merion, one of my favourite courses, from years ago. Your texture creation tutorials also helped. Take it easy.

I was very sorry to hear this news last week. I remember when I was just getting started designing for Links 2001 and I had a basic question about planting sounds or some other thing, the first one to respond was Art... That was Art all over - happy to help, enthusiastic and kind. He became an online friend for two decades and I was also able to meet him in person one year at Augusta when I was doing some broadcast work with Andrew Jones. We met up at Mick Prendergast's house to play a little Links 2003 (modded version of course!) I can't remember who won but it really didn't matter - just lots of laughs and good times had by all.
We used to play a weekly round of virtual golf together and one fond memory was when he miraculously holed out for an eagle from out of the deep stuff but was foiled by a game bug that gave me the eagle and stuck him back in the hay to try again. Art, as usual accepted it with good humour and soldiered on.
He helped a lot of people and made a lot of friends - I will miss him.

Mick Prendergast - now there's a name out of Links history. While transferring from ancient USB drives starting to fail, I ran across a 7 disk set I got from Mick. Courses, instructions, players, just a ton of good stuff. We unfortunately parted ways before he died, but he was marvelous for the Links community.
Same as Mike Jones - another Links legend. I just played Burns Old Links the other day. I'd still have it made into a real course if I had the cash.
(Did you know Mick used to play chess with Steve Morse?)
