I think when they're chipping, it's fake grass too.

I've played a lot in france right here, where fake grass is everywhere, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2HE_g2m1P4 , and at the time, i didn't understand why they didn't create fringes on greens. Because, for example, when you're putting from off the green, the result is a beautiful ugly stair step :scared:

And what was my surprise when i saw the exact same thing on this 50,000,000$ project !!

This is not to criticize because compared to these great people in sport, I am nothing. I would simply understand why two course builders that I have seen have not both made a fringe on a synthetic grass green. Is there a technical reason? Or have TGL engineers never played the game of golf?

I would have been Tiger Woods and saw that on my first visit of my 50,000,000$ project, i would have been furious!

Here is a nice article to read about that grass :

Nikko.
Competitive golf is mostly played on a 25 cm course, the space between your ears.

Watching TGL golf for the 2nd week now. I enjoy watching it. But, the ball flight and roll physics is incredibly bad off the tee - and when they have to make an approach shot. Ball physics in Links2003 seem far better than their $600 million simulator. :)

I've watched the first few TGL matches, and I've thought that something seems off with the flight of the balls and how they react when they land both on the fairways and greens. I also wonder about the greenside bunker as there have been a few of the players that have left a bunker shot in the bunker. Am I the only that thinks it's strange they don't immediately show the shot stats after a ball is hit? I would think it would show up and show the MPH, launch angle and other stats they show after the shot has landed. It looks like a fun concept, the hammer thing unusual and I don't think any of them have figured out when to use it properly. I'll keep playing as many of Sage's courses until I find the holes they're using for TGL (LOL).
