I'm not sure that I was really involved that much; I took a bunch of photos for Colin back in 2009. Had I known the level he was going for, I probably would have taken another trip or two to Banff to get a bunch more for him. There are a lot of Aussies that come over to work in the winter at Lake Louise (ski hill, and I'm sure many other places in the park!), and I'm guessing they stick around in our summer as well. Colin, if you ever do get over to Canada/Alberta/Calgary/Banff, let me know! I spent a couple of nights in the hotel back in November 2022 for a work AGM, but didn't visit the course ....
The view from my room was not great, but it didn't matter to me, since I only slept there for 4-5 hours each night:
Jimbo, I still have all my hair - perhaps due to no kids or wife(s)! - and I retired in the middle of 2023. I am thinking I might get back to playing PG and even Links this winter. Since my computer is long overdue for replacement, I might have to get back to Links first!

It's great to see you back in the group. I've been having no success-or patience-to do APCD.
I've always wanted to to Capilano (I keep trying but...) and Jasper-who somehow escaped the fire.
Fortunately we have guys like "The Sage Group".

Armand is being very modest. He took ALOT of photos, including of the Tunnel 9, from angles you don't normally get. Would not have been the same courses without him - as those photos made up at least 75% of the reference photos I had, even in 2024. He also did the hole previews for me.
Tho I wonder if Armand would have offered to help if I had said at the time that it would then take me 15 years to finish all 27 holes?
Good to see you back around these parts Armand. I am jealous of your retirement! Not sure I'll ever get to your part of the world, but will certainly look you up if I do.

I finally had a chance to play the new Thomson 18 today. Wow I am completely blown away by this rendition. Thank you!!! I missed several shots distracted by the beauty of the course and the mountains. I can just imagine what the effect would be if I was there IRL. I walked 14 and 15 a few years ago in the winter and that was incredible even though most of the course was covered in snow.
