I have never seen anything like this. HELP

Post by MasterMontgomery »

Been working on this course for close to a year. Went to make a new trap on hole 10
and i noticed the traps have some gray faces in them. After further checking all
terrains have some darker faces. Then i noticed whenever there is a height change
between the verts, the face gets darker. the more severe the height change the
darker the face. I thought i could fix this but im lost . the terrain properties
are correct. You can even see the edges protruding thru the terrain. The course had been ok, then this happened. i must say after hole 9 i got in to 3d building for my first time.
I read DeShanneys tutorial an had a blast. So far my work is poor but im learning.
I did make about 6 buildings that are on the course. The course worked fine after
the 3d work was done. So i don't know . I have included a pic for example.

thanks
Doug

It looks like all edges were turned to hard edges (sharpness 4 or -1) during the 3D work. Select the edges for the course and soften to sharpness = 0.
