I got my old win 10 comp going.
I put my APCD directory on it and opened my nemesis course to see if I could forest plant it...............
All is normal as it should be.
I'm going to upgrade to a SSD drive and see about getting back to course design.

It just proves that microsoft could give a CRAP about legacy software users......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll let you all know how things go................

Sage,

I'm not sure how tech savvy you are or if you have someone around who could help if you need it, but I've been dabbling with a Virtual Machine (VM) on my Linux installation to be able to get Links to run. Early days suggest it might be promising. If it's something you want to look into for APCD or Links...

A VM is kind of like dual booting, but it's much quicker to access the second operating system. For information on what a VM is and how you could use it, check out these videos:

I don't think Win 11 home comes with Virtual Machine software (VirtualBox), but I believe it can be added so you could install and run Win10, Win7, WinXP, MacOS or whatever other 'guest' OS on the Win11 computer (even multiple OSes!). Those OSes would have to have their own licences, but you could use the licences from your old computers/operating systems.

Regards,
Armand
