Updated Club Distances?

Seems like I read something about using the extended distance mod back when it was released about it not being compatible with other online players players, or the game servers wouldn't allow you to connect with other players if you had the distance mod. Also you couldn't use it in online tournaments when competing against others. Does anyone else remember anything about that?

Yes, I was told that. I am pretty sure that it is the case. But it was not a problem for me specifically as I neither use CS nor play online.
However, there is one thing that is true and that is that, even without playing the Pro Mod Distance version, when selecting to play Champ or Elite, the clubs reach higher top speeds and so one can gain a few yards from that. Still nothing close to the distances the pros can hit in this day and age. In that sense, is perpetually "vintage" at this point.

I have loaded the LinksPDMod.exe file and when I run it I get the message that "crucial files are missing, reinstall Links 2003". Links still works as normal. What do I need to do to get the LinksPDMod.exe to worK?

Verspa, there are guys who can shoot in the 40's (!) using the current distances. How low do you want to shoot?
