With a couple of hundred played, and only a few thousand courses left to play, believe it or not I've encountered a phenom heretofore unknown. Eric Dorsey's #1434 Colonial was included in a Career Mode Tournament I'm working thru. I tried a bunker shot out of what is labelled as "wet" sand, using my trusty Sand Shot charts. Scratch that par on the card.
A bit more exploring and I have discovered that many?/all? of the bunkers in #1434 contain a creative blend of wet and 'dry' (my label) sand. The same holds true for #1767 Colonial, but his #2558 looks to have escaped the heavy overnight rains.
Questions - are there other courses out there that come to mind with the same blended bunker build? When the APCD gurus are at work, this blended build is presumably available for bunker building? Is there in fact an intentional performance factor in the APCD coding for wet sand - one that's going to require some practice to play out of successfully?
Thanks for any thoughts.
