Google takeover?

Post by pmgolf »

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but when I come to this site and try to go into the Forum, Google opens a full-page ad and I have to close it to get into the Forum. BUT when that page closes, Google has logged me out and I have to log-in again. It's like we have "Big-Brother Google" guarding all activity at this site. Somebody needs to tell them: it's a virtual GOLF site, you jerks!

Yes, it's p***ing me off as well.

Hopefully I've turned off that type of advert but time will tell.

The AdSense site may as well be written in Sanskrit for all the sense it makes to me sometimes. :bookh:

Same here, guys. I almost could deal with it, if it didn't always log me out. I was wondering what has changed.

I never got logged out when I closed the ad, but it is (was? Not there today) annoying.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I've not seen any full screen ads or anything but it seems like I have to login each time I visit.

Perhaps you chose not to accept cookies. :dunno:

Andy,

I've always been told not to accept cookies from a stranger LOL!

That could be the issue, I'm not sure but since I posted it hasn't happened since.

I think Google is watching us!

Merry Christmas!!!

Yes, I've noticed that none of the crazy stuff is happening now. I hope it's over with!
